Singing sensation Shmueli Ungar will be joining us for the entire Yom Tov

Shmueli Ungar, who has been electrifying stages and wedding halls in New York with his powerful voice and robust sound, is currently one of the most exciting and fresh new voices in Jewish Music, has recently released his very own debut single!

The album features 11 brand new songs, many of which arranged by Moshe Laufer, and produced by Naftali Schnitzler.

We are excited that Shmueli will be performing a gala concert on chol-hamoed and will be spending Yom Tov with the Smilow Family.

Yoni Z, 27 years old, is a singer, songwriter and entertainer currently residing in his hometown of Crown Heights, Brooklyn New York.Raised harmonizing in a family of musicians, singers and cantors, Yoni has been breathing and living music since he was born.

Despite his young age, Yoni has shaken the Jewish music industry with his ecstatic energy, soulful singing, all executed with the utmost finesse, and has performed concerts in countries all across the globe. In addition, he has earned the recognition of the finest producers and musicians in the industry and works with them closely at countless Simchas and events, making each appearance a memorable one. Aside his voice and performance, what is unique about Yoni is his versatility. He has earned the reputation among his fans and critics as “the walking jukebox”. Descending from a blended Jewish heritage, Yoni continues to entertain an assembly of all audiences; young and old, Hasidic or modern, religious and secular, Ashkenazi and Sephardic alike, capable of wowing his audience on all fronts. Mendy Hershkowitz

Mendy’s inborn love of music was evident before his first birthday, an interest that blossomed with each passing year. By age five, Mendy was playing the drums, and his musical aspirations soared exponentially in his early teenage years when he learned to play the piano and began composing original music.

Sharing an unbridled passion for music he upped the ante in the Jewish music scene with a single minded devotion to musical excellence. Mendy toured with Lipa Schmeltzer, winning praise and admiration from music lovers worldwide. In addition to playing the keyboard, Mendy soon found himself writing, producing and arranging music for the biggest names in the Jewish music including Mordechai Ben David, Avraham Fried, Benny Friedman and Yossi Green.

Always eager to embrace another challenge, Mendy sold his band in 2014, staying on through June 2016 as musical director, while also focusing more heavily on full scale, live production and freelance musical direction. Sonic Duo, Mendy’s newest joint venture with Chesky Breuer of Shira Choir, offers a full range of services to a wide array of talented individuals including production, marketing, branding and business management. We are very excited that he has decided to join the Smilow Family for Pesach 2017 and look forward to his talents adding an electrifying thunder to our entertainment.

The Shira Choir

While Srully has released eleven solo albums in the past fifteen years, including the ever popular Carlebach Friday night series, he has actually been recording since his days as a star soloist for the AmudaiShaish Boys Choir at the young age of nine. Srully’s childhood career also featured performances on three of the well known 613 Torah Avenue albums and a solo Yiddish children’s album titled Kindervelt. While Srully was one of the top voices in AmudaiShaish Boys Choir, Yerachmiel Begun, the world famous director and composer of Miami Boys Choir asked Srully to contribute vocals for one of the songs on his KlalYisroel Together album as well, singing the song The GedolaiHador, which commemorated the passing of two great Jewish rabbinic leaders of our generation, Rabbi Moshe Feinstein and Rabbi Yaakov Kaminetzky.

Srully has performed in every major city in the United States and Canada as well as throughout Europe and Israel. His Carlebach style davening, which have been captured for posterity on two CDs, have brought RebShlomo’s famous nusach to every major synagogue in the world. His soulful, angelic voice and exciting stage presence have enthralled audiences everywhere.
